Popular dense, uniform ground cover that reaches 9-14 in. in height and spreads 6-8 ft.  Leaves are dark emerald green.    Small pink flowers in March-April are followed by reddish brown berries in fall.  One of the best ground covers for hot dry locations with terrible soil.  Plant in full sun and give moderate water in inland areas.
